The Northern Kentucky men’s golf spring season will start with the Invitational at Savannah Harbor on February 17-18. There will be 54 holes played over two days, beginning with a 36-hole shotgun start on Saturday and concluding with 18 holes on Sunday.
Northern Kentucky’s representatives for the event include Jacob Poore, Jackson Frame, Ty Debonis, Jacob Vrolijk and Joseph Clark. Byron Speach is competing as an individual.
A Look Back
NKU competed in seven events in the fall, with its fourth-place showing at the NKU Fall Classic, held in memory of Andrew Jewell, serving as the team’s best finish. Poore paced the men with a 74.21 scoring average and two top-10’s.
This event will feature 16 teams, Austin Peay, Belmont, Bethune-Cookman, Brown, Butler, Florida A&M, Fort Wayne, Nebraska-Omaha, North Dakota State, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Savannah State, South Carolina Beaufort, Tennessee Tech, Valpo and William & Mary.
The Club at Savannah Harbor is a par-72 set up to play 7,287-yards.
