The Thomas More College men’s golf team finished first in a Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) tri-match today (Sunday, April 22, 2018) after carding a 308 on the Jones Golf Course at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Washington & Jefferson College was second with a 318 and Saint Vincent College was third with a 351.

Sophomore Zack Baynum (California, Ky./Campbell County) was individual medalist with a 73. Two other Saints shot sub-80 scores as senior Carter Hibbard (Florence, Ky./Boone County) fired a 75 and first-year Nick Drake (Bowling Green, Ky./South Warren) shot a 79.

Sophomore Kyle Alexander (Taylorsville, Ky./Spencer County) shot an 81 and junior Matt Striegel (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) carded an 82.

Four Saints competed as individuals at the tri-match. Sophomore Jacob Zai (Cold Spring, Ky./Bishop Brossart) had an 81, first-year Robby Case IV (Crestview Hills, Ky./Covington Latin) carded an 83, sophomore Blake Baioni (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) had an 88 and first-year Kyle Redden (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) finished with a 93.

Thomas More returns to the Jones Golf Course next Saturday (April 28) to compete in the third and final round of the PAC Championship.
