For the first time ever, the Eastern Kentucky University soccer team will host an Ohio Valley Conference Tournament game this weekend.

No. 3 EKU will play a quarterfinals match against the winner of No. 6 UT Martin / No. 7 SIUE on Sunday, October 29, at EKU Soccer Field. First touch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.

The first-round UT Martin / SIUE game will also be played at EKU Soccer Field on Friday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. ET.

For the first time in league history, the OVC Tournament has expanded to eight teams in 2017. The No. 3 and No. 4 seeds host first-round and quarterfinals games this weekend. The semifinals (Friday, November 3) and championship game (Sunday, November 5) will be played at the home field of No. 1 seed Murray State.

This marks EKU’s seventh appearance in the OVC Tournament and its second appearance as the No. 3 seed (2012).

The Colonels advanced to OVC championship game for the first time ever last season as the No. 2 seed.

If EKU wins on Sunday, it will face No. 2 Tennessee Tech in the semifinals on Friday, November 3, at 12:00 p.m. ET in Murray, Kentucky.

The entire OVC Tournament will be streamed live on the OVC Digital Network.

Admission is FREE to both games this weekend.
