Kentucky State University softball announced the signing of pitcher Paola Flores to its 2017 recruiting class on Monday morning.
Flores, a transfer from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, comes to Thorobrettes with two years of eligibility and will be studying biology once she starts the 2017 fall semester.
While a student-athlete for the Saints’ softball program, Flores was named to both the All Mid-Florida Conference Academic Team and FCSAA All-State Academic Team during her freshman and sophomore seasons. She was also awarded the Mid-Florida Conference Scholar-Athlete award and was an All-Conference honorable mention as a sophomore.
Flores is most notable for what she accomplished as a native of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, winning four consecutive Latin American Championships and one Sub-Champ at the Softball Little League World Series.
