The Bellarmine University men’s tennis team fell 3-6 to Lincoln Memorial on Sunday at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.
Juniors Zachary Kuo and Alex Swords, sophomore Matthew Momper and freshman Lauren de Boeck contributed to wins for the Knights (5-9) against the Railsplitters (9-8). Lincoln Memorial won two of three doubles matches and four of six singles contests.
Swords and de Boeck picked up Bellarmine’s doubles win at No. 3, defeating Guilherme Rocha and David Segarra 9-7. The Knights’ duo is 7-1 together this season.
Kuo dropped only three games in winning at No. 2 singles over Moritz Hoerner, and Momper defeated Pepe Batalla at No. 3 in three sets as he captured the first and third frames. Kuo earned his team-leading 19th combined victory.
Bellarmine plays Saturday at Saint Joseph’s in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match.
