Eastern Kentucky University senior Jamaine Coleman has officially been named a first team All-American by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Coleman won silver in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last week at Historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
He clocked a personal-best time of 8:33.5, missing a national title by just over a second (Minnesota’s Obsa Ali won with a time of 8:32.2).
Coleman is EKU’s second first team All-American of 2018. Tequan Claitt was named a first team All-American after finishing fifth in the men’s high jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March.
