Three Kentucky State University volleyball players were awarded Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors on Tuesday.
Senior Sherry’ce Butler was named as the Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, while senior Micah Rogers was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week and senior Anjelique Kyle was awarded as the Setter of the Week.
Butler, an outside hitter from Lexington, Ky. finished with 26 kills in a pair of 3-1 losses against Georgetown College and Asbury University. She hit .211 throughout the week while recording six digs, three aces, a block, and assist.
Rogers, a senior libero from Indianapolis, Ind. tallied 28 digs for KSU last week. She also added two assists and an ace in two matches.
Kyle, a senior setter from Houston, Texas recorded 74 assists in eight sets last week, including a 42 set mark against Asbury. She also finished with 22 digs, six kills, and two aces.
The Thorobrettes will be action in the SIAC Crossover at Albany State beginning on Sept. 22 and will continue through Sept. 24.
