The Lady Knights have won the 20th district basketball championship 72-41 over the Adair County Lady Indians tonight and will be moving on to regionals beginning next week! There was great all around play from the entire team with Makayla Epps leading the charge with 19 points, 13 points from Kyvin Goodin-Rogers, a solid 10 points were added by Patrice Tonge, 9 points were contributed by both Logan Powell and Alexus Calhoun, Colleen Rakes and Haeli Howard each scored 4 points, and 2 points from Ambrasia Adams and Kaylee Wheately. The Marion County fans cannot help but be proud of Coach Milby and the team for their quality play in the first stage of their journey to a state title. 2 games down, 7 to go...
