University of Kentucky Athletics has announced that freshman Kyvin Goodin-Rogers will miss the entire 2013-14 basketball season after being diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. Says Coach Matthew Mitchell “this condition requires her to be on blood thinners for several months”. He says in a press release that she was experiencing chest pains.
Kyvin Goodin-Rogers was a high school basketball standout who helped the Marion County Lady Knights go undefeated to win a state basketball title and was also a finalist for Miss Kentucky Basketball. She was highly sought after and recruited choosing the University of Kentucky along with her teammate McDonald’s All American Makayla Epps.
