For the first time ever a player from the 14 th region was crowned Mr. Basketball and the trophy is headed to the mountains. Camron Justice (Knott Co Central) took the honors Tuesday night.
Justice had many D1 offers and comitted to Vanderbilt to continue his ball playing days. Justice is 4th leading scorer in state history.
He is a huge key to Knott County Central’s success this season and deservedly so. The Patriots behind Justice won the 14th Region and are a favorite to win the KHAA Boy’s Sweet 16 held March 18-22nd at Rupp Arena.
Justice also plays for the AAU EYBL Travelers team.
The award is presented by the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation and voted on by the state’s coaches and media. Only seniors are eligible.
