by Matt Montavon – FRANKFORT, Ky. – After receiving its first ever national ranking in the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Media Poll, the Kentucky State women’s basketball team returns home for a slate of four home games in eight days.
The Thorobrettes began the season with wins over Fisk and Kentucky Wesleyan in the C.Y. Russell Classic, vaulting them to No. 25 in the latest national poll, which was released last Tuesday. The national ranking was the first of any kind for the program, which came into the 2015-16 season with high expectations after an NCAA Tournament appearance a year ago.
