UK WBB: Kyvin Goodin-Rogers Leaves UK Hoops Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky women’s basketball junior forward Kyvin Goodin-Rogers has decided to leave the program and will seek a transfer elsewhere, head coach Matthew Mitchell announced on Monday. Mitchell has granted Goodin-Rogers her full release.

“Kyvin has decided it is in her best interest to leave our program and play her remaining years elsewhere,” Mitchell said. “We appreciate all the hard work that Kyvin put in while she was with our program and wish her nothing but success on and off the court moving forward.”

Goodin-Rogers had played in 39 career games with 15 career starts, averaging 4.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. This season, Goodin-Rogers was averaging 5.6 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.

“We have a lot of work left to do, but I am extremely excited about the players on our team and what we can become,” Mitchell said. “If we continue to have great attitudes and continue our commitment to hard work, we will have a special season.”

Kentucky is off to a 6-0 start, including a 5-0 mark at home and 1-0 record against ranked opponents. In the latest Associated Press Top 25 announced Monday the Wildcats moved up one spot to No. 11.
