LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky rifle team is back in action at home in a tri-match and matchup among three top-10 teams with No. 2 Murray State and Great American Rifle Conference foe No. 9 Memphis. Saturday’s match will begin at 8 a.m. ET at Buell Armory.
Kentucky will provide complimentary breakfast in the lobby during smallbore. The range will open for spectators during air rifle.

The Wildcats are ranked third in the country along with TCU.
Leading the way of late has been freshman Hanna Carr. She boasts the best individual score by anyone in the country this year, as she shot 1186 at Nebraska in mid-November. She also shot a 591 in smallbore that match, the second best individual-match score by anyone in the country this year.
The second-ranked Racers placed first overall in the Withrow Invitational, which they hosted. Murray State posted a smallbore score of 2328 and air rifle score of 2363 for an aggregate of 4691.
This will be the third meeting between Kentucky and Murray State this season, with the Wildcats emerging with victories both times. The first came in mid-October in Murray in a 4702-4693 decision, while the second came in Akron, Ohio, at the Akron Invitational. Kentucky placed first out of nine teams with a score of 4703, while Murray State finished in third with an aggregate of 4692.
Memphis also competed at the Withrow Invitational last weekend and finished in third place behind No. 8 Nebraska after a smallbore score of 2298 and air rifle score of 2353 for an aggregate of 4651.
Kentucky won last season’s meeting with the Tigers by way of a 4670-4654 score line.
