Kentucky rifle announced on Thursday that Henrik Larsen signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Kentucky where he will compete on the rifle team.
Larsen – a native of Moss, Norway – finished fourth in the men’s 50m rifle three position and eighth in 50m prone at the 2016 International Shooting Sport Federation Junior World Cup.
“We are very excited that Henrik will be joining our team next year,” head coach Harry Mullins said. “He will be a great addition in both disciplines and will bring energy and a solid skill set to the team. He has a lot of the Wildcat spirit and commitment that will help our program keep moving in the right direction. He is a very skilled athlete with great work ethic. Henrik carries a tremendous passion for our sport. Because we’ll be losing the four seniors after the season, he is a great start to the 2017-18 class.
“We will see some great things from him during his time at Kentucky. He has tremendous drive to succeed. Even with his high skill level, Henrik is always a student of the game.”
