University of Louisville’s Dolly Nyemah earned Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Women’s Co-Field Performer of the Week honors after an outstanding effort in last weekend’s competition.
Nyemah won her first weight throw event of the season at the Notre Dame Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The redshirt senior from Indianapolis helped the Cardinals to a second-place finish with 89 points behind No. 12 Michigan. Her mark of 21.40m (70-2.5) was a season-best throw and currently ranks sixth in the nation.
Miami’s Shakima Wimbley was recognized as the ACC Women’s Track Performer of the Week for the second week in a row and is joined by Men’s Track Performer of the Week Darryl Haraway of Florida State. Virginia Tech pole vaulter Deakin Volz is the ACC Men’s Field Performer of the Week, while Duke pole vaulter Madison Heath and Nyemah are the Women’s Field Co-Performers of the Week.
