Yesterday we released the inaugural 2018 player rankings for Kentucky, if you didn’t see them they can be found here: KHSAA 2018 Player Rankings. Today we are releasing the 2019 player rankings, the current sophomore class.
The 2019 class is one of the deepest classes in memory for Kentucky, maybe the deepest since 2008 with Scotty Hopson, Darius Miller, Shelvin Mack and Bud Mackey. Currently it looks as if five or my guys will play high major from this class.
Trinity sophomore guard, David Johnson, is the #1 player in the class of 2019. Johnson doesn’t have the best individual numbers playing for Trinity but he has all around game. Over the weekend Johnson received three division one offers from power programs, Cincinnati, Louisville and Xavier. Johnson was the MVP of the King of the Bluegrass and the prestigious Arby’s Classic in Bristol, TN over Christmas.
Here is our entire Top 10 for the class of 2018, rankings will be updated and expanded around the first of August and after the KYSPORTS.TV prep showcase. If you haven’t registered, get registered today here: KYSPORTS.TV Prep Showcase Registration
Here is video of Johnson from his MVP performance at the 2016 King of the Bluegrass.
