The last live period of the spring seen the Team Manimal 14u head south to Atlanta to partake in the HoopSeen – ATLJAM. Team Manimal 14u is the top team in the state for that age with numerous players appearing in our most recent 2021 player rankings including the states #2 ranked 8th grader, Trey James.

Straight bracket play at the ATLJAM,one loss and you are eliminated from title consideration. Team Manimal ran through the competition with a perfect record of 4-0 to take the crown. With know game closer than 31 points until the championship, Manimal was head and shoulders the best team in the A. En route to the title they defeated Below the Rim, Atlanta Huskies, Pro One Select and Nashville based RSD Red 45-42 in the finals.

16u MANIMAL

The 16u Manimal team went to the Hilltopper Hoopfest in Bowling Green this weekend. Manimal 16u- Maze was led by the states #9 ranked player in the 2019 class, Trevon Smith all weekend. The lefty could be the best scorer in this class, he can score from all three positions on the court. En route to the title they went 2-0 in pool play with wins over Kentucky Prodigy and Team Walden. Today they were perfect in bracket play with wins over Central Ballers, Defenders and Kentucky Prodigy to claim the crown.
