The Thomas More College women’s lacrosse team fell, 19-5, to Transylvania University today (Monday, April 24, 2017) in an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) match at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 3-9 overall and 2-6 in the ORLC. With the win, the Pioneers improve to 12-2 overall and 6-1 in the ORLC.
Senior Tori Liles (Tollesboro, Ky./Lewis County) scored four goals as she scored at 25:22 and 12:15 in the first half and 18:27 and 10:03 of the second half. Sophomore Jeni Hall (Lebanon, Ky./Marion County) scored with 4:14 to play in the match.
Sophomore Gillian Casey (Lexington, Ky./Lexington Catholic) played all 60 minutes in goal and recorded save saves in the loss.
Liles led the team in shots with 10, including nine on goal and led the team in ground balls with two. Senior Erika LaRosa (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) and Hall led the team in draw controls with three each.
Thomas More closes out the 2017 season on Sunday (April 30) when it travels to Greenville, Pennsylvania to play Thiel College at 1 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
