The Adidas Uprising just completed the 2nd weekend of their scheduled stops in Atlanta this weekend. If you read the recaps of the first weekend in Dallas, you can insert the majority of that into the Atlanta recap as the week changed but the results didn’t
LOUISVILLE MAGIC 17U
After a 4-0 week in Dallas the schedule toughened up in Atlanta for session two. The tougher the schedule, the tougher Ellis Myles had his team. The Louisville Magic remained perfect going 4-0 on the weekend and improving to 8-0 for the season. The Magic join the Team Loaded (VA), Mass Rivals and New England Playaz as the only undefeated teams in the Gauntlet Gold Division.
On Saturday the Magic defeated Brookwood Elite 52-48 behind three double figure scorers. Fern Creek’s Chance Moore and Anthony Wales each had 12 points while Christian Lorng of Wesley Christian had 10 points and 7 rebounds. The night game on Saturday they defeated Gamepoint Pump N Run 61-58, they were led by Chance Moores 17 points, Anthony Wales 12 and Steven Fitzgerald 10 points.
On Sunday the Magic survived their toughest test of the weekend in a 77-76 win over Team Loaded (NC). Chance Moore exploded for 27 points to lead the Magic to the win. In the final game of the session, the Magic knocked off Garner Road 78-70 behind 21 points from Chance Moore, 15 points from Christian Lorng, 10 points from Pulaski Counties Steven Fitzgerald and 10 points from Bryan Stations Eric Boone.
Chance Moore received a scholarship offer from Cleveland State.
Christian Lorng received scholarship offers from Houston and Creighton.
INDIANA ELITE 16U
The Indiana Elite 16u team features two of the top 6 players in the 2019 class in Kentucky with Michael Moreno and Kyle Rode. Indiana Elite won the championship in Dallas and again this past weekend in Atlanta. The 16u division is bracket play and Indiana Elite defeated MBA Hoops 67-54, Team Knight 84-66, D1 Minnesota 57-51 and Dream Vision 80-60 in the championship.
OTHER RESULTS
Twenty-Two Vision 17u went 2-2 on the weekend with wins over Ramey Jets and Urban DFW. They lost to the Juice All Stars and Game Elite. Trevon Faulkner (Mercer County) had 14 while Adam Kunkel (Cooper) had 13 in their win over nationally ranked Ramey Jets.
Louisville Magic 16u didnt see the same success as they did in Dallas. After winning their division in Dallas, they went 1-2 this weekend in Atlanta with a win over Arizona Power.
