The Bellarmine University baseball team remained at No. 3 in the second set of Midwest Region rankings, released Wednesday.
The Knights are behind top-ranked Northwood and No. 2 Wayne State. Bellarmine has won nine games in a row to boost its record to 31-15 overall and 18-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Bellarmine is the GLVC’s top-rated team in the regional rankings, but the Knights start a string of five-straight squads from the league. Southern Indiana follows at No. 4, Saint Joseph’s at No. 5, Quincy at No. 6 and Drury at No. 7.
Walsh (No. 8), Grand Valley State (No. 9) and the GLVC’s Missouri S&T (No. 10) round out the rankings. Eight teams will earn bids to the Midwest Regional of the DII NCAA Tournament.
Bellarmine closes the regular season with doubleheaders Friday and Saturday at Wisconsin-Parkside.
