Jack Hranec was named to the OVC Baseball Championships All-Tournament Team Saturday evening after the conclusion of the tournament in Oxford, Ala. Hranec is one of 13 members named to the squad.
Hranec had a stellar tournament for the Racers as he hit .368 in the four games, including a .500 average in the three games where he exclusively played first base. Hranec hit five home runs, collected 10 RBIs and scored six runs offensively for Murray State down at Choccolocco Park.
In addition to his work at the plate, Hranec also turned in a career start on the mound Friday night against Belmont. Against the Bruins, Hranec pitched a career-high 7.2 innings, struck-out six batters while scattering just four hits and allowing three runs.
For the season, Hranec was tied with Brandon Gutzler for the team-lead with 16 home runs, which are the second most for a single season in program history.
The Racers made their first trip to the OVC Tournament since 2010.
