Kentucky State University volleyball and head coach Katrina English will be conducting open tryouts to all those interested in becoming a part of the program for the 2017 season.
Tryouts will be held from noon to 2 pm ET at the Exum Center on August 6th, and are open to current college students, 2017 graduates, and two-year transfer student-athletes. Doors will open at 11:30 for all participants to sign in.
All participants will be required of the following upon their arrival:
A completed physical including a Sickle Cell Solubility Test(SST) performed within the last six months
A completed “PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE TRYOUT FORM.”
A plain white t-shirt/ black bottoms
Proper running shoes
Proper court (volleyball) shoes
During the two-hour tryout, student-athletes will be evaluated on strength, speed, agility, volleyball skills and IQ, along with coach ability and mental toughness.
