Kentucky State University women’s basketball announced the signing of 5 foot 10 shooting guard Khaliah Herbert on Monday morning.
“Khaliah (Herbert) has great length, and she’ll help us out tremendously on the defensive end of the floor,” said head coach Terrance Slater. “She is also an excellent shooter, forcing teams to play us honest and not double down on the post. Khaliah will be asked to do a lot as a true freshman, and I think she will be up for the challenge.”
Herbert was a 2017 spring graduate of Crete-Monee High School in her hometown of Crete, Illinois. As a part of the Warriors’ program, she averaged 10 points per game and was named to the All-Conference squad after her senior campaign.
Once Herbert arrives on campus for the Fall 2017 semester, she’ll have four years of eligibility at KSU.
