Kentucky State University basketball announced the signing of 5 foot 9 shooting guard Perri Mitchell on Friday morning.
“Perri (Mitchell) can flat out score the ball in a variety of ways,” said head coach Terrance Slater. “Even though she’ll be a freshman, we are expecting big things from her during her career here at KSU.”
Mitchell, a native of Louisville, Kentucky and a graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park, will be stepping on campus as a true freshman in the fall.
While attending PRP, Mitchell averaged a double-double during her senior campaign with 17 points and 10 rebounds per game. She was awarded for her stellar play as she was selected to the All-Sixth Region squad at the conclusion of the 2016-17 season.
