Set Piece Goals Give Arkansas 2-0 Win Sunday Afternoon vs UK Women’s Soccer

The Arkansas Razorbacks used two first-half goals off of corner kicks to win 2-0 on Sunday afternoon over the Kentucky Wildcats at the Bell Soccer Complex in Lexington.
The match was UK’s final home fixture of the season, as the regular season is set to conclude on Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET against the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens. The match will be shown live on the SEC Network+, ESPN3 and the ESPN app from the UGA Soccer Complex.
The Razorbacks’ Parker Goins served in both corner kick balls – one from each side – which gave the Hogs the 2-0 win. Both goals were high-loopy balls served into the six on the far post and headed back across the face of play for the tally.
With the win, Arkansas improves to 4-4-1 in the Southeastern Conference and 9-8-1 overall. The Wildcats fall to 7-12-0, 2-7-0 SEC with Sunday’s result.
Kentucky’s best scoring chance of the match came in the 90th minute as Miranda Jimenez crushed one off the underside of the crossbar, and it rolled off the line to the feet of a Razorback defender – who cleared the area. UK registered two shots on goal in the match.
