Campbellsville football jumps into top 20 and is ranked 18th in NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll

The Campbellsville football team moved up three spots to No. 18 in the NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Monday afternoon.

The Tigers earned 103 voting points following its 58-34 victory over then No. 22-ranked Cumberland University. Campbellsville enters the final week of the regular season with a record of 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division.

Lindsey Wilson College moved up one spot to No. 4 with 300 points after staying unbeaten with a win over then No. 9 Georgetown College.

The Blue Raiders and Tigers faceoff on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. ET from Blue Raider Stadium in Columbia, Kentucky.

Georgetown slipped three spots into a tie for 12th overall after losing its first game of the season to Lindsey Wilson. Georgetown is tied with Dickinson State University after both teams earned 187 points.

Cumberland is the final team from the MSC Bluegrass mentioned in the poll as it slipped out of the top 25, but is still receiving votes. The Phoenix are five spots outside of the top 25 with three points.

Reinhardt University represents the MSC Appalachian Division at No. 2 overall with 325 points, while Southeastern University moved up to No. 10 with 217 points. Faulkner University is the final team from the Mid-South mentioned in the national rating with 12 points and is the first team outside of the top 25.

University of St. Francis is continues its stay to No. 1 with all 15 first-place votes and 325 voting points. Morningside College is third in the poll with 316 points, while Southern Oregon University moved into the top five with 280 points.

The final regular season rating is going to be released on Sunday, Nov. 12.

Campbellsville faces rival Lindsey Wilson at 2:30 p.m. ET in Columbia, Ky., in the Battle of Highway 55.
