Not only will fans be able to enjoy Excite Night inside Rupp Arena this year, they will also be able to see Nickelodeon star Lizzy Greene on Jan. 5.
Greene appears as “Dawn” in the hit Nickelodeon show “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn”, which tells the story of quadruplets navigating life as pre-teens. She has been nominated for multiple Kids’ Choice Awards and is popular on social media, with over 2 million dedicated followers.
Fans will have a chance to meet Greene in a meet and greet at Rupp Arena. Follow Kentucky Gymnastics on social media for ways to enter and win a meet and greet.
Excite Night has featured stars in the past, like Disney’s Laura Marano and Grammy award winning artist Kirstin Maladonado.
Last year’s Excite Night was in Memorial Coliseum and was a sell out. Building off last year’s success, gymnastics is moving to Rupp Arena for the opening meet.
“We started talking about hosting Excite Night in Rupp Arena a few years back,” head coach Tim Garrison said. “At the time, none of us really thought that it would happen, at least not anytime soon. The Big Blue Nation must have had different ideas. They have shown us such support that we have a tremendous opportunity of competing in one of the greatest venues in college athletics. The team and staff are honored and very appreciative of the BBN as well as our support staff and administration. While we enjoy competing in Memorial Coliseum, Rupp is a special opportunity and the team could not be more excited.”
Kentucky gymnastics is looking to pack the lower bowl of Rupp with 10,000 fans for the historic event for #ExciteNight10K. Fans can purchase season tickets here. Single meet tickets, including Excite Night, go on sale Nov. 20.
