WKU Hilltopper Basketball head coach Rick Stansbury announced Wednesday the signing of Jeremiah Gambrell (6-1, Guard) to a national letter of intent in the 2018 class.
“We’re excited to have Jeremiah join our basketball program,” Stansbury said. “He’s a terrific person from a great family and brings a lot of versatility and ability to shoot the basketball.”
Gambrell, a Houston native, averaged 20 points per game as a junior for Madison High School. He was named the most valuable player of District 24-5A and a TABC all-state selection.
Known for his ability to score in a variety of ways, including a strong 3-point touch, Gambrell also averaged 20 points per game as a sophomore and 15 points as a freshman.
His Madison team went undefeated in district play in 2016-17, winning 16 games by an average of 26 points.
247Sports Composite ranks Gambrell as a three-star prospect.
