Georgetown College football’s Kody Kasey becomes the first Tiger honored as Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division Champion of Character winner. The champion of character award recognizes student-athletes for their academic, athletic, campus leadership, community leadership, future ambition and demonstration of the five core NAIA character values – integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership.
Kasey has a 3.39 grade point average, earning him MSC All-Academic honors this year as well. He was a kickoff return specialist the past two seasons after returning from the amputation of his leg from an injury sustained his sophomore year. He was all-conference his freshman season.
The Pickerington, Ohio native is president of GC’s FCA, made the dean’s list 2015-16, volunteered for Feed My Starving Child and is a Blanton Collier Leading with Character Award winner.
