Northern Kentucky University women’s soccer student-athlete Jessica Frey was named to the United Soccer Coaches 2017 Senior College Scholar All-South Region Team for Division I, as announced by the organization in a press release.
Jessica Frey named to United Soccer Coaches 2017 Senior College Scholar All-South Region Team
KANSAS CITY – Northern Kentucky University women’s soccer student-athlete Jessica Frey was named to the United Soccer Coaches 2017 Senior College Scholar All-South Region Team for Division I, as announced by the organization in a press release.
“Congratulations to Jess on being named to the United Soccer Coaches 2017 Senior College Scholar All-South Region Team,” said NKU head coach Bob Sheehan. “From day one, Jess set high goals for herself as both a student and an athlete, and she has achieved these goals. Jess has been an incredible role model on the field and in the classroom over these past four years,” he added.
Frey maintains a 3.746 GPA as a nursing major. She is a three-time Horizon League All-Academic team honoree and has earned First Team All-Horizon League honors during the past three seasons. Frey has also been named to the Horizon League All-Tournament team in each of the last two seasons. In 2016, she earned Horizon League Championship MVP honors, helping the NKU women’s soccer team reach the NCAA Division I Tournament in the program’s first year of eligibility.
Earlier this season, Frey was also one of 30 candidates for the women’s soccer Senior CLASS Award.
