University of Louisville defensive back Jaire Alexander informed head coach Bobby Petrino on Friday morning that he has decided to enter the 2018 NFL Draft and will not play in the TaxSlayer Bowl against Mississippi State.
“I know it was a very difficult decision for Jaire,” Petrino said. “I appreciate the contributions he made to the program over the last three seasons, and I wish him all the best in the future.”
The Charlotte, N.C., product played in six games in 2017, totaling 19 tackles and one interception in limited action due to injury.
