he Eastern Kentucky University men’s tennis team heads to Virginia this weekend to play a doubleheader on Friday against James Madison and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, followed by a match on Saturday in Charlottesville at the University of Virginia.
EKU is coming off of a successful, home-opening weekend, defeating both the University of the Cumberlands, 7-0, and Northern Kentucky, 6-1, on Saturday.
Nic Castaldo, Parth Aggarwal and Ramon van Flymen each went undefeated in both singles and doubles throughout both matches.
James Madison comes into the contest with just a match under its belt, notching a win against Saint Francis, 6-1 while Virginia Tech comes into Friday’s match after splitting the weekend at Alabama, falling to the home team, 1-4, but defeating Penn State, 4-1.
Virginia hosted the ITA Kickoff Weekend last weekend and went 0-2, falling to Texas Tech, 4-3, and Ole Miss in the consolation match, 4-1.
Friday’s matches are slated to begin at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. while Saturday’s match is scheduled for 12 p.m.
There will be live stats available for each match during the road swing, and live video available during the match at Virginia.
