The Southeastern Conference has released television selections and game times for the 2019 league slate with the University of Kentucky women’s basketball team selected to play on SEC Network or the ESPN family of networks a total of 10 times.
For the ninth straight season, television networks have chosen to air double-digit Kentucky women’s basketball games. In addition, again in 2018-19, every UK home game will be televised or available on the SEC’s digital platform SEC Network+. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will produce a combined 15 regular season conference contests. The SEC Network will televise 50 conference games. ESPN and SEC Network will announce additional non-conference games at a later date.
The Wildcats will play nine games on SEC Network, including at Mississippi State on Jan. 6 (5 p.m.), at Tennessee on Jan. 10 (7 p.m.), vs. Ole Miss on Jan. 13 (1 p.m.), vs. Missouri on Jan. 24 (6:30 p.m.), at Texas A&M on Jan. 27 (5 p.m.), vs. South Carolina on Jan. 31 (6:30 p.m.), at Alabama on Feb. 11 (7 p.m.), at South Carolina on Feb. 21 (7 p.m.) and at Georgia on March 3 (1 p.m.). Kentucky’s game vs. Florida on Feb. 3 in Rupp Arena will be on ESPNU with a 2 p.m. tip. UK’s other six conference games – vs. Vanderbilt on Jan. 3 (7 p.m.), at LSU on Jan. 17 (7:30 p.m.), at Auburn on Feb. 7 (7 p.m.), vs. Arkansas on Feb. 17 (2 p.m.), vs. LSU on Feb. 24 (2 p.m.) and vs. Texas A&M on Feb. 28 (7 p.m.) – will be on the SEC Network+. The SEC Tournament will be played Wednesday, March 6 – Sunday, March 10 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. The SEC Network will televise the first three days of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament while the semifinals will air on ESPNU, and the championship game on ESPN2.
All games on ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and SEC Network) are also available through the ESPN App, which is accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices nationwide at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.
New season ticket purchases are available online at ukathleticstix.com, while fans can also call (800) 928-2287 or visit the UK Ticket Office in person. The UK Ticket Office is located inside the Joe Craft Center at 338 Lexington Ave.
Purchasing season tickets offers the best option and price savings for fans. New season ticket purchases are available in upper-level reserved chairbacks (sections AA-JJ), lower-level reserved bleachers (sections R-Z) or general admission bleachers (sections RR-ZZ) for $69 per ticket. Lower-level reserved chairbacks (A-J) sections are sold out again this season. New season ticket seating will be assigned in late September after the renewal deadline.
In addition to season tickets, all-session books to the 2019 SEC women’s basketball tournament are now on sale within Kentucky’s allotment at $120 each. This year’s event will take place at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC from March 6 – 10. Seat locations will be assigned in K Fund priority rank order in January 2019.
