The Kentucky Volleyball team released its 2019 Southeastern Conference schedule on Wednesday afternoon, highlighted by eight home matches beginning on Sept. 27 against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The two-time defending champion Wildcats will host the Bulldogs to kick off their title defense inside Memorial Coliseum on Sept. 27 as part of an opening stretch of four home contests inside the first five SEC matches for the Wildcats. Included in the opening home stretch for UK is MSU, South Carolina (Oct. 4) a showdown with the Florida Gators (Oct. 6) and Georgia (Oct. 11).
After a two-match swing at Tennessee (Oct. 16) and Alabama (Oct. 20), Kentucky returns home on Wednesday, Oct. 23 to host the LSU Tigers and travel to Oxford to face Ole Miss (Oct. 27) to mark the midway point of the league slate.
Kentucky will play a two-match weekend in Lexington to open the calendar in November as the Wildcats play host to Texas A&M (Nov. 1) and Arkansas (Nov. 3), commencing the back half of the league schedule. UK then will hit the road for a season-long four-match road streak beginning in Athens against the Bulldogs on Nov. 8. Also included in the road trip are matches at Auburn (Nov. 10), South Carolina (Nov. 15) and Florida (Nov. 17).
Two of UK’s final three contests will be played in the Bluegrass State, as Missouri comes to town on Nov. 20 and Ole Miss concludes the regular season at Memorial Coliseum on Nov. 30 which sandwiches a match at LSU on Nov. 27.
Times of all 18 SEC matches will be announced at a later date in conjunction with ESPN and the SEC Network as television assignments are revealed.
