The University of Kentucky women’s soccer program, in conjunction with its partners at ESPN and the SEC Network, have announced that the Wildcats will be featured nationally on two SEC Network telecasts in 2019, in addition to all of its home matches and road Southeastern Conference matches to be featured on SEC Network+ and the ESPN app.
Kentucky will have two national appearances on the SEC Network with its matches against Auburn and No. 10 Tennessee making the national stage. The Auburn match on Sept. 19 will kick off at 7 p.m. ET at the Wendell and Vickie Bell Soccer Complex, and the Tennessee match on Oct. 6 will kick off at 3 p.m. ET at the Regal Soccer Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee live on the SEC Network.
The 2019 slate boasts more than 20 televised regular season games on the SEC Network and ESPNU, and more than 115 televised games across ESPN networks. The televised SEC women’s soccer slate begins Aug. 22 with South Carolina hosting NC State at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network. Highlights of the women’s regular season schedule include:
· Three top-25 matchups on ESPNU
· Appearances on ESPN networks by 21 of the preseason top 25 including No. 10 Tennessee, No. 12 Texas A&M, No. 15 South Carolina, No. 17 Vanderbilt and No. 24 LSU
· Thursday Night Soccer on SEC Network: beginning Sept. 12, SEC Network will air a soccer game every week; ESPNU will also air games each Sunday
· Once again, the SEC Soccer Tournament will be telecast live on SEC Network
