The Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team will go on the road to face Austin Peay on Saturday at the Winfield Dunn Center. Tip is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.

WHAT TO KNOW
EKU (8-2, 2-1 OVC) defeated OVC foe Eastern Illinois, 69-61, on Wednesday at McBrayer Arena.
Junior Tre King posted his fourth double-double of the season in the win over EIU – 22 points and 12 rebounds.
Sophomore Tariq Balogun blocked a career-high five shots in the win over EIU. He now leads the OVC in total blocks (20) and blocks-per-game (2.0). Balogun is on pace to finish with 54 blocks this season. The EKU record is 55 (Nick Mayo, 2018-19).
Balogun, junior Cheikh Faye and freshman Devontae Blanton made their first career starts vs. EIU.
EKU now leads the NCAA in total steals (140), steals-per-game (14.0) and turnover margin (+9.2).
EKU recorded 21 wins in 2020 – the most of any Division-I school in Kentucky.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Austin Peay (6-3, 2-1 OVC) has won two straight OVC games, including a 68-59 victory over Tennessee State on Wednesday in Nashville.
Reigning OVC Player of the Year Terry Taylor leads the Govs, averaging 19.9 points and 11.1 rebounds-per-game.
This is the 118th meeting between EKU and Austin Peay. The Govs lead the series, 64-53, and defeated the Colonels, 93-85, last year in Clarksville.
