🏀 Louisville WBB Rallies Past Pitt for 76-69 Win

The Louisville women’s basketball team pulled off a comeback victory on Sunday, defeating Pittsburgh 76-69. The Cardinals struggled in the first half, falling behind by as many as 12 points in the second quarter. However, they dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Panthers 27-17, and finished the game on an 8-0 run to secure the win.

Hailey Van Lith led the way for Louisville with 18 points, a career-high 7 assists, and 2 blocks. Chrislyn Carr also had a standout performance, scoring 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting from three-point range, including the go-ahead three-pointer with 48 seconds remaining. Norika Konno added a career-high tying 11 points, and Mykasa Robinson recorded 2 steals for the third straight game.

The Cardinals shot a season-high 48.1% from three-point range, with three different players making at least three triples. Louisville is now 13-5 overall and 4-1 in conference play, while Pittsburgh falls to 7-9 and 0-5 in the ACC.

The Cardinals will hit the road for their next two games, facing Virginia Tech on Thursday and Florida State on Sunday. The matchup against the Hokies will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra at 7 p.m. ET.
