The Murray State women’s basketball team is extending its 0-College initiative for the remainder of the 2022-23 season. This means that all children aged 0 to College will be able to attend all remaining Missouri Valley Conference home games for free.
According to Director of Athletics Nico Yantko, this initiative is a win-win for both the community and the team. It provides affordable family entertainment for the community, which has supported the team for years, and also allows the team to compete in a fun and high-energy environment.
Head coach Rechelle Turner is also excited about the initiative, stating that the excitement brought by young people enhances the game environment at the CFSB Center. She encourages Racer Nation to bring their families to support the team as they compete for their first Missouri Valley championship.
Fans can take advantage of this offer at the next home game on Wednesday, when the Racers welcome their rival Belmont to Murray. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be aired nationally on ESPN+ as part of the MVC’s “The Valley on ESPN” package.
