🏀 #22 Thomas More MBB Secures Victory Over Lindsey Wilson, 72-64

The Thomas More men’s basketball team defeated Lindsey Wilson on Thursday evening, January 26th, with a final score of 72-64. This victory improves the Saints’ overall record to 16-5 and 11-5 in conference.

The game began with a strong start for the Saints, as redshirt junior Noah Pack (Georgetown, Ohio/Georgetown) kickstarted a 10-0 run for the team with 18:08 on the clock. Redshirt junior Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) added to the lead with a 3-point basket, making the score 19-10 with 8:38 remaining in the first half. The Saints continued to dominate, with sophomore Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) hitting a jump shot with 4:03 left on the clock, bringing the score to 31-20. The first half ended with a 39-26 lead for the Saints, thanks to a layup from sophomore Kyle Ross (St. John, Ind./Lake Central).

Reid Jolly led the team in the first half with 9 points, one assist, and one rebound. Casey George followed closely behind with 8 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds. Wyatt Viett (Burlington, Ky./St. Henry) also had 3 rebounds to lead the team and had 6 points. Noah Pack led the team with 3 rebounds and had 4 points and 1 assist. Kyle Ross had 8 points and 2 rebounds. Sophomore Jacob Jones (Jeffersonville, Ind./Jeffersonville) recorded 4 assists to lead the team and had 4 points and 2 rebounds. The second half began with Reid Jolly knocking in two free throws with 16:50 remaining on the clock, bringing the score to 41-30. With 13:09 left in the game, redshirt first year Derek Eddings (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle) drove to the rim for a layup, extending the Saints’ lead to 53-37. Jacob Jones made a jumper to further extend the lead to 59-48 with 5:02 remaining. Wyatt Vieth drove to the basket for the final basket of the game, securing the Saints’ 72-64 win over the Blue Raiders.
