The University of Louisville women’s basketball team received exciting news on Tuesday night, as guards Mykasa Robinson and Hailey Van Lith both earned All-ACC honors. Van Lith was named to the First Team All-ACC for the second-straight season, while Robinson was named to the ACC All-Defensive Team for the third-straight season.
Robinson’s achievement is particularly noteworthy, as she is the first player since 2017 to be named to the All-Defensive Team for three-straight seasons. This season, Robinson leads the Cards with 4.0 assists per game, 2.0 steals per game, and has averaged 5.6 points and 4.7 rebounds. In the last eight games since being added to the starting lineup, she is averaging an impressive 7.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 2.4 steals per game.
Van Lith has also been a standout player for the Cardinals this season, leading the team with 19.4 points per game and ranking third in the ACC in scoring. She has scored in double-figures in 28 of her 30 games played this year and has scored 20 or more points 15 times this year. In ACC play, Van Lith is second in the conference with 19.1 points per game and has scored 17 or more points in 15 of her 18 ACC games.
The Cardinals will be back in action at the 2023 Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament in Greensboro, N.C., where they are the No. 4 seed. They will begin in the semifinals on March 3 at 11 a.m. ET, and will either play Florida State, Virginia, or Wake Forest in the quarterfinal matchup that will air nationally on the ACC Network.
Robinson and Van Lith’s All-ACC honors are a testament to their hard work and dedication to the game. As the Cardinals continue their postseason run, they will rely on these two standout players to lead the way and help the team achieve their goals.
