On Sunday, the Murray State softball team achieved their second Missouri Valley Conference series sweep with a resounding 6-0 victory over Valparaiso. Jadyn Thompson spearheaded the Racers’ offense by hitting a triple on her first pitch in the opening inning. Gracie Osbron’s RBI brought Thompson home to score the first run of the game.
The Racers continued to dominate by scoring three more runs in the second inning, thanks to RBIs from Saxon Radcliffe, Erin Lackey, and Thompson. In the fourth inning, Thompson hit another RBI triple to left field, scoring Lackey, followed by Osbron bringing Thompson home to extend their lead to 6-0.
