EKU Men’s Track & Field Ranks No. 47 in Latest USTFCCCA Rankings

Eastern Kentucky University’s men’s track and field team continues to make waves in the collegiate athletics scene, securing the No. 47 spot in the latest USTFCCCA team rankings. Ranked just behind notable Power 5 schools such as Florida State, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Penn State, the Maroon and White demonstrate their prowess among top-tier programs. Impressively, they stand ahead of several powerhouse track and field programs, including Ohio State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Louisville, showcasing their ability to compete at the highest levels of the sport.

The Colonels also shine in individual events, holding spots in the top 30 in three categories on the latest USTFCCCA #EventSquad rankings. This includes the 3,000-meter steeplechase (No. 2), 10,000 meters (No. 8), and 1,500 meters (No. 28), underscoring their depth and versatility across various disciplines.

Leading the charge in the 3,000-meter steeplechase is Hakim Abouzouhir, whose exceptional performance at the Bryan Clay Invitational secured him a prominent position in the national rankings.
