UK’s Magnelli & Raena Worley Shine at 2024 NCAA Gymnastics Championships

Isabella Magnelli and Raena Worley, representing Team 50 as individual qualifiers, showcased their exceptional talents at the 2024 NCAA Gymnastics Championships held at Dickies Arena on Thursday.

Magnelli, representing Alabama Gymnastics, dazzled spectators with her graceful performance on the balance beam, earning a remarkable score of 9.9500. The senior gymnast closed her collegiate career on a high note, delivering a flawless routine that epitomized her skill and precision.

Meanwhile, Worley, representing Utah Gymnastics, captivated the audience with her dynamic floor exercise routine, also earning an impressive score of 9.9500. Her final performance exemplified her dedication and artistry, leaving a lasting impression as she concluded her collegiate gymnastics journey.

Both Magnelli and Worley earned their spots at the national competition through stellar performances at the Fayetteville, Ark. Regional earlier in the month. As the highest-placing individuals on beam and floor among teams that did not advance to the championships, they showcased their resilience and determination on the grand stage of the NCAA Championships.

While Team 50’s journey in the NCAA Championship came to a close in the final round of the Fayetteville Regional, where they tallied a commendable 197.475, it was not enough to secure a spot in the NCAA Championship. Nevertheless, their season-ending ranking of No. 9 overall marks a significant achievement, tying the second-highest final ranking in program history for Kentucky gymnastics.

As Magnelli and Worley bid farewell to their collegiate gymnastics careers, their impressive performances at the NCAA Championships serve as a testament to their talent, dedication, and enduring legacy within the sport.
