Brooklyn DeLeye Named to 2024 U.S. Volleyball U-21 National Team

Sophomore outside hitter Brooklyn DeLeye has been selected to represent the United States as a member of the 2024 U.S. Volleyball U-21 National Team. The announcement was made by the organization on Monday afternoon.

DeLeye will compete with the national team at the 2024 NORCECA Women’s U21 Continental Championship, which will be held in Toronto, Canada. The tournament schedule includes three matches for Team USA from June 25 to June 27, followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals, and placement matches on June 30.

A native of Topeka, Kansas, DeLeye has already made a significant impact in her collegiate career. She was named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Freshman of the Year and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Region Freshman of the Year in 2023. As she returns to Kentucky for the 2024 season, DeLeye is expected to continue her role as a key offensive player for the Wildcats. She brings impressive stats, including 3.92 points per set, 3.69 kills per set, and a .287 hitting percentage.

Kentucky fans will undoubtedly be excited to watch DeLeye bring her talents to the international stage and then back to Lexington for another standout season.
