Louisville MBB to Host Ole Miss in SEC/ACC Challenge

UofL men’s basketball is set to play Ole Miss at the KFC Yum! Center on Tuesday, Dec. 3, as part of the 2024 SEC/ACC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Challenge, ESPN and the two leagues announced Wednesday. Games will be broadcast across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network, and SEC Network, with times and television assignments to be announced at a later date.

The Cardinals and Rebels have met only three times, with Ole Miss leading the series 2-1. Louisville lost the first contest 74-70 on Dec. 22, 1997, at home. In the return game the following year, Ole Miss defeated Louisville 88-69 in Oxford, Miss., on Dec. 5, 1998. The two teams wouldn’t meet again for a decade. Most recently, the programs squared off in the SEC/Big East Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio. Louisville emerged victorious in the neutral site game, winning 77-68 on Dec. 18, 2008.

Louisville holds a 93-82 record against 2024-25 SEC membership. The challenge game adds a second SEC team to the Cardinals’ home slate, as they are also scheduled to play Tennessee on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the KFC Yum! Center.

The 2024 SEC/ACC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Challenge promises exciting matchups, and the Louisville vs. Ole Miss game will be a highlight. Fans can look forward to a competitive clash as the Cardinals aim to even the series against the Rebels.
