Championship Overview
The 26th edition of the European Championships marks the third time Italy has hosted the event, with the inaugural edition taking place in 1934. Ekholm qualified for her first European Championships via the World Rankings and will begin the high jump competition with a two-group qualifier.
Ekholm’s Achievements
While at the University of Kentucky, Ellen Ekholm was a standout athlete:
- Two-time USTFCCCA All-American in the high jump
- Three Southeastern Conference medals, including back-to-back golds in the 2019 Outdoor and 2020 Indoor SEC Championships
Ekholm also has international experience, having represented Sweden at the European U20 Championships in 2015, where she earned a bronze medal in the high jump.
