WKU Women’s Golf Head Coach Adam Gary announced the signing of Julia Zigrossi from James Madison University on Monday.
“I’m excited to add Julia to the roster this fall,” Gary said. “Her attitude, work ethic, and experience will fit right into our team’s culture. I can’t wait to see her develop over the next three years.”
Zigrossi, a New York native, spent one season with the Duke Dogs, playing in six events during her freshman year. She finished the season with a stroke average of 76.88, including a low round of 71 at the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman.
Before her collegiate career, Zigrossi prepped at Our Lady of Mercy in New York, where she earned numerous accolades. She was a three-time sectional champion, a six-time state qualifier, and a two-time All-State New York selection. Additionally, she was a three-time NYS Four Ball Champion and won the NYS Junior Am in 2021.
“I’m excited to be joining a program that has everything I am looking for in all aspects,” said Zigrossi. “I can’t wait to bond with a new team full of great girls and a coach like Coach Gary who has so much to offer. I think WKU is truly the right fit for me, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a Lady Topper.”
Zigrossi joins Kaylee Dwyer and Reagan Folk as new additions to the 2024-25 roster.
The Lady Topper golf program is coming off a record-breaking season, securing eight top-three finishes, including victories at the Jennifer Duke Invitational and the Spring Break Shootout. Additionally, Lady Topper junior Catie Craig received an at-large bid to compete in the NCAA Women’s Golf Regional.
