Cats prowl PGA fairways: UK trio tees off at Lexington’s ISCO Championship

The Bluegrass State is set to become golf’s center stage as the PGA Tour rolls into Keene Trace Golf Club for the ISCO Championship. Three Kentucky Wildcat alums are ready to pounce on home turf, with $4 million and crucial FedEx Cup points up for grabs.

Fresh-faced phenom Alex Goff ’24 makes his PGA Tour debut, riding the wave of a record-shattering college career. The newly minted All-American brings a scorching 70.55 average to the big leagues, looking to add to his impressive trophy case.

Cooper Musselman ’18, Louisville’s own, returns for his third ISCO rodeo. The former Crooked Stick champ aims to improve on his 2018 showing, where he made the weekend and finished T57.

Rounding out the Wildcat trio is tour veteran Stephan Stallings Jr. ’17. Another Derby City product, Stallings has four ISCO starts under his belt and hopes to better his T45 finish from 2019.

With a star-studded field of 156 pros, including PGA Tour winners like Joel Dahmen and Kevin Kisner, the Kentucky contingent faces stiff competition. But on familiar fairways, don’t count out these hometown heroes.

Golf Channel brings the action live to your living room, while lucky fans can snag tickets to witness the Bluegrass shootout in person. As the ISCO Championship tees off its 10th edition, the question remains: Will a Wildcat finally claim the crown in Lexington?
