Big congrats to Kara Holcomb from Letcher County Central! She’s just been named the 2025 KHSAA Comeback Athlete of the Year! After overcoming a tough car accident, Kara got back to doing what she loves, and she’s crushing it!

Basketball: 3-year starter, all-district & all-region honors, and tied her school’s three-point record!
Softball: Shortstop who’s led her team to district & regional titles, plus all-region honors and a state tournament run.
School: Rocking a 4.0 GPA, National Honor Society member, and taking dual credit classes.
Community: Still finds time to volunteer!
