🏀Kentucky Represented at the 2013 McDonalds All-American Games

Throwback vibes! This video takes us back to the 2013 McDonald’s All-American Game, where the Kentucky Wildcats set a record with FIVE selections on the 24-man roster, Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison, James Young, Marcus Lee, and Dakari Johnson, plus late addition Julius Randle and girls’ standout Makayla Epps. These high school stars brought their talents to Lexington and left a lasting mark on Big Blue Nation.

The Harrison twins dazzled with clutch plays, including Aaron’s iconic tournament shots in 2014, helping UK reach the Final Four. Julius Randle became a double-double machine, earning SEC Freshman of the Year. James Young rained threes, Marcus Lee threw down monster dunks, and Dakari Johnson anchored the paint. On the women’s side, Makayla Epps from Marion County in Lebanon, KY grew into a scoring legend, was the MVP of the tournament team that would go 39-0 to win a state title, and would later earn All-SEC honors with the Kentucky Wildcats. Rebecca Greenwell from Owensboro Catholic in Owensboro, KY averaged over 22 points per game her senior season and would go on to have a tremendous career at Duke, ranked fifth in scoring (1,874), and broke the record for most three-pointers made. video courtesy Ronald McDonald House.
